St Silas Church
Youth and Children’s worker

We are seeking the right candidate to join our staff team with oversight of our ministry among children and families, and our youth ministry.

We are looking for someone who is committed to Christ-centred, Bible-based ministry among children and youth, and able to think innovatively and act strategically to grow our work among youth and children, expanding its vision and reach. We envisage this as a full time role, but would be willing to explore the possibility of dividing up the role into two part times positions - one focused on the youth ministry, and the other on children and families.

Apply as soon as possible, and by 20th March. Expected interview date is 30th March. For more information, an informal enquiry, and/ or to make an application, please contact the Rector, Martin Ayers, via the church office: 0141 337 2276 or .

St Silas Church
Ministry Trainees

Are you looking to make a valuable contribution to the mission and ministry of a church, while gaining formal training in Christ-centred Bible handling and teaching? At St Silas we are looking for ministry trainees, to begin in September 2020. A two year role is envisaged, but a one year commitment can be discussed. Formal training will be provided by enrolment at Cornhill Scotland, a 2 days-a-week course based in Glasgow (or an alternative, as agreed).

St Silas Church is a growing, Bible-believing Anglican church in the heart of the west end of Glasgow. We thank God for an enthusiastic staff team and wider ministry team, and a whole range of ages and nationalities represented in the church family. We have a variety of exciting ministry opportunities, including children and youth, preaching and leading services, music ministry, and UK and international students. A means tested living grant is available.

For more information, an informal enquiry, and/or to make an application, please contact the Rector, Martin Ayers, via the church Office: 0141 337 2276.
