Young Workers & Students

Coming to a new city for a new job or studies can be daunting and brilliant at the same time.

It's also a great opportunity to find out what it means to follow Jesus and to get to know him better. So whether you’re already following Jesus or just want to find out more about him, we’d love to meet you and welcome you to St Silas. At St Silas we have a vibrant community of young workers and students in their twenties and thirties with lots happening formally and informally.

Informally we meet together socially, hangout in each others homes, and do life together as Christians, or as those who are looking into Christianity and are wanting to see what the Christian life looks like lived out.

Formally we gather together on Sundays, but also on Wednesdays and Thursdays in small groups called Roots and Student Roots groups, to look at the Bible together and pray together. To find out more please follow the link here. We also gather together formally at other times to consider what the Bible says about a specific aspect Christian living at work or at home, or to consider in depth another area of Christian teaching that we might not have the opportunity to cover on Sundays or at Roots.

For Students we have good links with a number of Christian Student Groups, and are keen to support you at university, and to encourage you in the Christian life.
