youth
St Silas' is a community full of young people, many of whom are students studying and living near by, connected up through Christian fellowship in their places of study. Our young adult community regularly meet together for lunch on Sundays, social outings and midweek gatherings to worship and explore God's Word together. Out young people in Youthzone enjoy meeting on Sundays betwee 10.45-11.45am and have lots of opportunities to enjoy time together after the services and at our regular social events. We encourage our young people to actively participate in the life of the St Silas', serving on a variety of ministries such as music, hospitality and welcome, and to particulalry lend their skills and gifts to befriend and encourage those just a bit younger than themselves. We work with other local churches to provide opportunities for young people to meet and worship together and to support them in their faith journey. Young people can attend Katharos, a monthly youth service for 11-18 years which is run by the Wheel Trust and takes place on the last Sunday of the month at Partick Trinity Church from 6.30-9pm. With the Wheel Trust, we run the CPAS Growing Leaders - Youth Edition course for 14-18 year olds, aimed at helping young leaders grow in Christ like character and equip them with leadership skills and understanding.
