What's On

How to find us

who we are

We’re a young congregation that’s been in the Woodlands area of Glasgow’s West End since 1864 (see the History information for background). We have people worshipping with us from all over the world. There is a great diversity in the congregation with people of all ages and from all walks of life present at our Sunday worship times. You’ll find that our people are normal and that nobody is perfect. Everyone is welcome!

Our goal is to be a church that helps people ‘live life in all it's fullness' (John 10:10). That includes the joy of knowing Jesus Christ, and we hope that everyone who visits us will come to know something of His love. We hope that people will not only find joy and friendship among us, but also discover what it means to be a follower of Jesus and how best to do that.

We are an Anglican congregation (in Scotland we are known as the Scottish Episcopal Church), with strong connections in the global Anglican Communion.

The Bible features prominently in our life together. Our preachers present it in lively and practical ways, and help us apply it to our daily lives.

General activity going on during an all age service

We try to offer Sunday worship that is contemporary, so our music is led by bands of musicians, with lots of informality, visuals and interaction. However, we are also mindful of our heritage, so, twice a month, you’ll find us using the words from a service that was first used in 1662.

Because God doesn’t intend it, we don’t want church to be boring. Your time with us ought to encourage and prepare you for the coming week. We want you to be comforted but not comfortable, so if you come along, you can expect prayerful and practical support as well as challenge to follow Jesus in obedience.
