small group material
The material that is provided from the church is intended to help leaders (or those leading at any given meeting) to prepare and plan for the meeting. But it is only intended to be a guide: not every question needs to be asked, not every suggestion adhered to. It should be seen as a skeleton on which the group (and particular those who lead within the group) can build a meeting appropriate to their group.
This term we will begin by following the morning services 'Together' series looking at the "I Am..." sayings of Jesus. Each week material will be provided for the leaders and also for the group members. If you are a not leading the session then please download the material for members as that will help you to approach your preparation better - i.e. without knowing the answers that we were thinking of when we wrote the material!

From the Rector:
This week, we'd like you to try something a little different, tying in with
the lectionary reading that many Anglican churches will have used last
Sunday. We used the attached sheet on Sunday morning, and encourage you to
use it with your group this week. It should help encourage personal Bible
study as well as group work. It will mean some individual work and
listening.
One additional area for consideration might be to explore these questions:
'How important is it that St Silas' is an Anglican congregation?' and 'What
are the good and bad things about liturgical worship?
