Kids Take Home Sheets

We love our 'all together' services on 1st Sundays where children, young people and all ages are encouraged to gather, worship, discuss, share, explore and apply God's Word together in a variety of ways. We are continually thinking about what it means to be church 'together' and have developed this concept on others Sundays, where we can explore the text and theme we are studying in age specific learning zones for a longer period of time before we gather 'together'.
Kidzone is for children between 3-8 years and is located on the groud floor of our community building.
Youthzone is for 9-12 years, and is on the 1st floor of the community building. Children and parents can access these areas directly through the new walkway and secure entry system of the community building. Time together in our zones includes:
♦ Gathering time, from 10.45am - where children and parents are warmly welcomed with games and refreshments. Children can catch up with friends and group leaders and this is also a time where parents can chat to leaders too. Children under 5 years spend time together in our VIP lounge. Children age 5-8 years utilise our atrium and hall spaces.
♦ Group time - children of 3-8 years are allocated to a colour coded group with children around a similar age and each group has at least one allocated adult leader. 
Children must be signed in to their group and will be given a colour coded name badge. However, much of our activities involves mixed ages as we feel children should not have to be seperated from those they enjoy spending time with! That includes parents/carers, who are very welcome to stay in Kidzone and enjoy this time with their child or go to the Adultzone in the main church building. Group time includes activities to introduce the theme and develop the teaching, as well as discussion, prayer and a take home reminder of what we have been exploring that day (downloadable from this webpage). Leaders in each group will stay the same as much as possible so children can get to know them well.
♦ Worship time - we can worship God with our words, actions, expressions, games and in a whole host of ways! Worship time allows everyone to sing, dance, play games and generally have fun together as we worship God and help one another live lives that glorify Him. Some weeks, our whole time together can be worship time so there is nothing new to take home - but we enjoy these opportunities to simply worship together in ways that enable the children to be children as they worship.
♦ Exploring time - this time is where the text and theme for the day are explored in a variety of ways that help us to learn, reflect, have fun and listen to God. This is led by one of our teaching team but encourages everyone to share so we can 'learn from one another'. The whole church family explore the same text/theme each week and these times aim to focus us on the key point of the text within God's big story. Bible truths are affirmed and all ages are helped to apply these as we seek to know God more and impact the Kingdom as we walk in God's ways.

♦ Joining time - after our learning zones (around 45 minutes) everyone joins together in the main building for the rest of our time together. Children are required to be signed out of Kidzone by their parent/carer.
