Fundraising success
Saturday 23rd August 2008, Tots 'n' Co organised a sale of children's clothes, maternity wear, toys, buggies, etc. to raise funds for Building for the Future. A grand total of £1252.75 was raised which is even more impressive as there were only arond 100 people through the door in the two hours the sale was on.
We are delighted with this total, but this is only part one! There was a huge amount of high quality, beautiful clothing left, so the decision has been made to hold a second sale before Christmas, combined with the Fairtrade breakfast and Christmas Craft Fair. This will be a truly fantastic event, so watch this space for more information!
So, a HUGE thank you to everyone who donated clothes and toys sorted, hung up and priced clothes, made signs, collected and returned rails from M & S, made refreshments, took in cash and welcomed people as well as clearing up, sorting everything, chairs and tidied the church, and of course those who prayed!
